Description:
After reading “The Dot” by Peter H. Reynolds, we were asked to create our own dot. We were given a coffee filter and multiple types of media to create our project. I used white crayon in the middle and wrote ‘shine’. I then used oil pastels and markers for the outer edge of my project. After drawing my media on my coffee filter, I completed my project by adding water and watercolor.
Extension Activity:
I will give students a white piece of paper and some objects that are circular shaped. These objects will include a toilet paper roll, paper towel roll, circular sponge, toothpick, bottle cap, etc. I will ask students to dip each object in paint and stamp them on their paper.
