Description: For the Pumpkin Zentangle Project, we first learned about Zentangle patterns and came up with our own patterns. We then drew our pumpkin on our blank piece of paper and outlined it in sharpie. After doing that, we were required to draw one fall Zentangle pattern and then one Zentangle pattern of your interest. I chose to draw pumpkins for my fall pattern and coffee for my pattern of interest. After filling each space of the pumpkin with a Zentangle pattern, we then went over the pumpkin with orange watercolor. We colored the stem with brown watercolor and let the paint dry before cutting out the pumpkin.
Extension Activity: For an extension activity, I could have students write about the patterns they chose for their Zentangle patterns. They could write about their pumpkin and what makes it special to them.
