Description: We began this activity by discussing stained glass art and some different artists of stained glass art. Stained glass art is mostly seen in churches and is usually colorful. To start the project, we taped off the turkey head and the feathers. We then learned about mixing paint colors and were given criteria to include in our project which included one primary, two secondary, and two tints. We were then given time to paint our turkey feathers with the criteria in mind. After completing most of the turkey feathers, we painted on the turkey face. We then put our painting on the drying rack and will peel the tape off when dry.
Extension Activity: For an extension activity, I would have students research stained glass art and different artists. I would have students get into groups and give them a set of questions to research about a specific stained glass artist.
